About The Role

The Country Program Manager is responsible for the operational implementation of Nuur Africa into the Republic of Guinea.
You will report to the Board of Directors and be responsible for the execution of various programs in the country.

This role will be a 12-month fixed-term contract, with possibility to extend depending on the outcome of the initial objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Guide the vision of Nuur Africa into the country and ensure its success
  • Engage with the local community authorities and other partners to select and sensitize farming communities
  • Secure all local accreditations et registrations.
  • Monitor and manage on-going programs
  • Roll-out small field trials to test key hypotheses
  • Qualitative and quantitative data analysis
  • Maintain digital media presence
  • Be an ambassador for Nuur Africa and build brand awareness on the ground
  • Provide timely updates to the board of Nuur Africa

Qualifications

Across all roles, these are the general characteristics we seek. For this role specifically, you will have:

  • Undergraduate degree in Management, Economics, Statistics, Agronomy, Monitoring and Evaluation, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in project management, and/or field operations in the Guinean countryside is a must.
  • Qualitative and quantitative data analysis skills (including experimental design and statistical methods)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office & Google Suite.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of data and distil down to essential findings.
  • Currently living in Kindia, Mamou, Dalaba, Pita or Labe with ability to travel to surrounding cities.
  • French (fluency) and English (proficiency) required.
