Nuur Africa is a USA-based 501(C)(3) non-profit organization with operations throughout Africa. The organization was started by a group of professionals living in North America but bound by a common objective of helping rural communities in Africa develop local solutions for improving their livelihood through relief and capacity building in the agro- pastoral sector.
Fostering economic empowerment for rural communities in Africa through relief and capacity building in the agro-pastoral sector in order to create self-reliance.
We are data driven, we value impact over vanity, and seek the most effective ways to develop sustainable solutions that help small-scale farmers regardless of race, gender, religion, ethnicity, political affiliation or national origin.
Despite having over one quarter of the world’s arable land, farmers on the African continent still lag their peers in other regions when it comes to output and productivity. This challenge creates an uninterrupted cycle of migration, malnutrition, lack of economic opportunity, and poverty.
